I think these might have been the best times for air travel. I think more people are more familiar with the newer planes than the older ones so this can help first time players like me.

If I remember correctly from beta1, everything was fine. However, the demand drop from 2001-2002ish? was there. So expect the same to happen. Also, the rise in oil towards the end of 2006-2008 (present day) is factored in.. made things interesting in the final days of beta1

Yea there is a small overall / global effect when the traffic declined for a few months but as the specific 'events' module is not done yet it's not that dramatic.
