[-] Partial Commonality Discounts
« on: January 25, 2011, 10:45:55 PM »
Hello!  I did a search and couldn't find anything, here's my suggestion:

AWS doesn't reward partial commonality.  E.G. If you own the 737 classic, the 737 NG is just as different as a TU-334.  Yet the 737 NG shares ~75% of its parts with the Classic.

Likewise for other models.

Could airlines that operate both (or 3) versions of the "same" aircraft get a commonality discount?

I doubt there will be a quick fix but change in fleet commonality is going to be one of the big overhauls of the game. For now take advantage of this fact and fly Tu-334s alongside your 737s

Rushmore, look at my Commonality Points thread.  Read my initial post.

Oops!  :-[ :-[ :-[  I actually saw that thread, but only looked at the keyword preview, which didn't ring up your original post, so I dismissed as having nothing to do on this subject.  Guess I have to search more carefully from now on.  ;D

Hey man, no problem.

That thread speaks exactly to this, though.
