BAe Jetstream J31 - RANGE?
« on: January 03, 2011, 06:04:38 PM »
Hallo Sami,

Happy New Year to you and all Moderators and to all fellow players in this forum.

When looking at some aircraft, I found that the BAE J31 is given with a very short range (250 miles!)
I checked with some web-pages of J31 operators and with a typical seating of 19 pax they give a range of 700 miles.

This, to me, also sounds much more believable - 250 miles wouldn´t boil a lot of eggs on the way...

Can you check this please?

Best regards,

It depends heavily on the number of seats installed (=payload), like in most small planes.

Here's the real chart, you can compare it with payload chart in AWS (should be almost if not exactly the same):

aye, payload is key.
In my Jet Age game, I picked up some Heralds which had no order backlog (for their tiny 250nm range) and replaced the default 48y config with my 32y and now get them up to 520nm without needing to get another type of aircraft. Must be spacious in there too
