I hope 1.3 will have these features....

1. Most airports should be open 24 hours.  Nowadays all but the smallest airports are open 24 hours.

At least, make sure that medium and large airports are open 24 hours.   In the game, even the Osaka airport is closed for a few hours a day.  That is just very unrealistic.

2. Players should be able to set levels of service (for example A, B, C, and D).  A higher level of service is more expensive but attracts more passengers, especially on long haul routes and planes with premium/luxury seats.

3. Players should be able to run auxiliary businesses, such as lounges, ground transport, and hotels.  These businesses can increase the number of passengers.

@ 1. Airport curfew/closure times are real-life based, and therefor will not be changed

@ 2. and 3. Both long discussed, but (yet) for future planning (maybe some of it on v1.3, but definitely not all)... just check the feature request forum ;)

Osaka Itami is closed between 21 - 7, if you really would like to know what it is in reality. Besides, there is no jet allowed to fly, if AC has more than 3 engines (B747, A340, MD11) since 2006 due to the noise restriction.

That's kind of interesting.  Wouldn't, say 777, with 2 much more powerful engines be noisier than 340 with 4 less powerful engines?

Some airports have noise regulations: http://www.boeing.com/commercial/noise/updates.html

...engine power doesn't determine the noise level, because B732adv are less powerful and more noisy than both

1. Airports are based on reality.  Have you ever been to a major airport at 3 in the morning?  Not much happening there.

2. Actually people have always looked to save a buck, not spend it.  Otherwise passengers would be jumping to get those Business and First Class Seats.

3. Last time I checked, airlines had enough difficulty in running their own business without trying to own a shuttle business.  Now if we were to add on a frequent flyer club, or a member's only lounge and invest in that to build customer loyalty that would be pretty good.

2. We can controle the quality of service now: cabin configuration.

In Many airline do so by this way. For example, SU, LH give you much better seat and inflight service, when UN, IB don't

I think maybe those officers of Japan CAA do not have A340 modeled in their mind ;)
