[ok] Return flight number difference
« on: November 02, 2008, 02:18:20 PM »
I think that the return flight of a route should have a different flight number or sometihng added on the end as in real life, for example:

EasyJet EZY3027 was to Ibiza
           EZY3028 was back

Thomas cook TCX114L to Orlando-Sanford
                  TCX114C back

I also agree with that. Maybe the option to choose the number of the return flight will be great

Yup, I'd third that. Maybe to keep things simple the system could automatically reserve the next sequential flight number for the return flight (I think this is how the majority of airlines do this). So if you pick XZY001 it holds and uses XYZ002 for the return. The other thing that would be nice would be to be able to spread a flight number over two aircraft.

For example you have a long haul route that cannot be flown return in 24hrs but want to run it every day at the same time. At present you have to make two routes with different flight numbers to do this. Would it be possible to make one 7 days route but assign two aircraft to fly it maybe?
