but to be honest: if it havent had been that way, and AF and LH wouldnt have been "slightly pushed" to buy, there wouldnt have been an A300. and there wouldnt have been an A310, and no A320. You can see in AWS how many airlines are willing to buy A300 or concorde or russian aircraft or ... - thats a result of a lack of tariffs and state & quasi-state-owned companies that influence the market.
Maybe we should think about the problem in a different way: lets make a gameworld in which, if an airliner is not selling well, let the manufacturer go bankrupt and not develop the next ones! douglas will probably be bankrupt when the DC8-21 sells 5 pieces. boeing will go broke with the 747. airbus will be bankrupt before the first aircraft takes off.
