Airport Data needed!

As AirwaySim project is progressing we shortly need to start expanding the airport database to make the games larger. Now we need YOUR help in collecting this data. Please read the whole message carefully for instructions before getting into work  :)

Our database already has a worldwide information on all airports on the world and their runways. But to calculate the passenger flows, we need also information about passenger numbers of these airports. So a following information is needed for all airports that are included to the game:

---
Airport ICAO code
Airport IATA code
Name of the airport
Total number of passengers in year 2005 (or 2006 in 05 info not available - no decimal separators, just like 500000 for example!)
% of passengers (of the total) flying on domestic routes
% of passengers flying on international shorthaul routes (= within the same continent)
% of passengers flying on international longhaul routes (distance over 1800 nm and going to different continent)
Curfew time of the airport (if it is closed during night time, for example "23-05" - in local time. If no curfew or if it is unknown, just put "24H" )
Capacity - max. aircraft movements per hour (dep & arr combined) - enter 0 if unknown
Cargo tonnes transported per year (in 1000s kilos - tonnes) - enter 0 if unknown
Population of the area surrounding this airport (in millions, example  55.5   or 0.01  for 55.5 mil or 10 000 people, enter 0 in unknown)
Date when this airport was opened to traffic, format dd.mm.yyyy. Enter 0 if unknown.
Date when this airport is permanently closed to traffic, format dd.mm.yyyy, enter 0 if unknown or if still open today.
Airport size class (1 = small airfield, 2 = small regional airport, 3 = large regional airport, 4 = small intl. airport, 5 = large intl. airport)
---

example:
---
EFHK
HEL

23.6%

Please supply this list in txt format to me. Either via forum private message or via email (sami -at- airwaysim dot com) (please don't post them here to avoid this thread getting too long, thanks). Note that the passenger destination distribution is not always available straight from the statistics, so often one has to estimate a littlebit, depending on the airport destinations available. In the email please supply also a link to the statistics where you found the information.

And if possible, please include all airports of a single country at once (or one state at a time for bigger countries) so that we are able to keep track of what is included and what is not. You can also reply here to tell if you have sent some airport data so that others do not do the same work again.

Note also that you can see from this page that what airports are already included: https://www.airwaysim.com/Information/Airports

Thank you!

Sami

Please note, there is a slight update in the data format requested.

I noticed your having trouble with finding Albanian Airports,

and I see you havn't got Beccles airport (UK), although it only alows small aircraft  ::)

Guillaume

So now you just have to find the information as requested above in order to have these airports included in the game !

can't find a thing about either Albanian or Beccles, but I believe Beccles has stopped samll charter flights, and now does helicopter flights...

I try to find something else...  :)

Niscocia's Ercan International Airport, Cyprus, not to be confused with the Abandon "Niscosia International".

FACT: If you are flying in from any other country, but Turkey, you need to touch down somewhere in Turkey first!

IATA: ECN
ICAO: LCEN
Serves: Nicosia
Location: Tymbou
Number of commercial flights in a year (to), (on average): 4680 (About 90 flights a week)
Position: Position 35°09´35"N, 033°29´18"E, Elevation 123m (403ft)

I'll try to find more info, hold on...

but Wikipedia is usless in this case  :(

Well, your going to need to make sure the airport is in the site or not and you have to collect the data  according the perimeters at the top of this page.
