I used to live in Vegas--hated it. I was there for 8 months and couldn't get out quick enough. I typically tell people to visit for 3 days because after that you're just like f*ck this town :(
I've been here nearly 4 weeks now and loving it :)

I've been there once for a week. It's fun, but at the end of that week I was definitely ready to go home. The lack of humidity made me feel like crap, and the walking outside felt and smelled like you were standing in front of the worlds biggest hand-dryer. Granted I was there in July.
//Of course I come from somewhere where during the summer you drink the air as much as breath it so that probably doesn't help.
I'm in Prescott, Arizona. About 4 hours away from LAS. I like the dry air, but it is much colder in the high desert than the "low" lands.
