Haha but at least the Il96's Solovievs look better than the hair dryers on the A340

A340 Anytime, Anyday DASH

A340-600  followed by
A340-500
A340-300

Great planes, nice looking took LOL. IL96 Good but not as good as A340  ;D

For some reason the supply of used aircraft from brokers seems to be very limited at the moment in all three games I believe. I will look to this later tonight..

Well at least the junk airplanes are going away

(Can't seem to link the images directly into here)

Plus.... the A340-600 already has 2 crashes on it's name (Iberia and Etihad) and the Ilyushin has none...

It's like... the gracious fat whale vs the pesky little herring....

You have to be blind to like the A340 over the Il96..

Wait, I can't see! What's happening to me? 8) The engines on the Il-96 look too small, it looks like it would have to flap its wings at takeoff to gain more thrust.

Where is the head room?? Russian people grow big... we need space..  Also, in the lower picture you almost HAVE to watch to that pathetic little tv in the headrest of the idiot in front of you. In the Il-96 you can look around the spacious interior of the pretty plane and watch the tv if you want.

And.. as you can see... your stupid little plane can only have a 2-3-2 setup... and the mighty glorious Ilyushin 3-3-3. Honestly the Airbus (if that is an Airbus) looks to cramped up and small..

I had been thinking this too. But had assumed it was due to the supply of the aircraft I was looking for (Airbus & Boeing) drying up.

If you even looked at the picture you'd notice it was at the back of the plane and if you look deeper in you'd see a 2-4-2. ;)

And it's not "my" stupid little plane -- I prefer Boeing.

We should end this arguement. Both sides are stubborn and we won't get anywhere. :) Not to mention this is off topic.

------------------------------

I'm happy the used market seems to finally be picking up a little. I've seen quite a few new planes being leased out by airline as well as being sold and a lot of those old useless planes are gone. :)

I agree... I was able to snatch 2 Boeing 737's off the used list this morning... one from the 'game' brokers and one from a player... cheers for that brusselsfly

anyway airbus is better....

2 seats are fantastic. 3-3-3 is like a van converted into a bus. Also, the interior of the Illy is so dull, the Airbus is much more elegant, colourful, and happy.

Also, noise levels on an A340 are minimal, instead being in the Illyushin is like flying on the engine directly accoding to the noise.
Probably there have been more A340 600 crashes compared to  Illyushin 96 - 300 crahes as probably there are 10 times more A340 600 than  Illyushin 96 - 300.

That A340 looks like a friggin cinema or lounge bar.... you only hear and see the people around you can not the plane itself... I fly because I wanna see the plane and hear the engines.... the a340 is decadent...  :-\

Dasha has a point though.

I spent bonkers to get on the 13th A380 flight with Singapore Airlines, not so much to go to Sydney, but to get the A380. When I fly, I also like the plane; but I prefer airbus or boeing.

I went to Russia a couple of years ago, I took a plane from Moscow to a place with a strange name which i can't remember. I ended up on a Tupolev and that hour and a half of flight was the moments in my life in which I felt i was the closest I could possibly get to death. Not to mention the state of the aircraft, the noise, the lack of comfort, and the toilet and the total lack of a little snack.

I am sorry, but Airbus is better.

Comfort wise actually the 767 ERs 2+3+2 32 inch pitch economy class seats were much better then the a340s, and even the 777 has more room then the a340. I've been flying Europe to BKK for 25 years now on everything from Tu-154 (with 4 or 5 stops via Vietnam), Tristars, DC-10s, 707s, 747s, DC 8s and charter 737s, and the most comfortable (apart from upgrades to business) a/c hands down was the 767.
