Overhead too big
« on: October 06, 2016, 02:43:13 PM »
Hi

I am running an Airline with currently 8 19 seater planes. I Need 35 Pilots, 0 FAs and 275 other staff. This Overhead is way too big.

A Company like this does not need 11 Human ressources employees or 6 high Level Managers and 10 middle Level Managers. This is way too expensive to operate and not realistic.

Regards

Every time I fly through philly in real life there are airport workers or airline workers everywhere...kind of like what you discribe above.

But you are correct that is a ridiculous amount of staff for an airline of that makeup

At the same time, prices we can charge when opposition is not too strong are far overboard. We don't suffer from seasonal variations either. So the game is not that bad balanced. I'd even say that, despite the excessive personal costs, it's easier in the game than in real life.

Honestly, 35 pilots for 8 airplanes is WAY too low. Realistically, even the thinnest operating regionals run between 8 and 10 pilots per airplane...
