Maintenance Question
« on: August 15, 2016, 01:46:32 AM »
Got a question A-B-C-D checks.. In the 'real world' all the major airlines have a continuous inspection program (A,B,C,D checks) in place. In this program (like in the game) a "D" check is the most comprehensive and satisfies all the requirements of a C, B, and A check.. The same with a C check- it satisfies the requirements for a A and B check.. A "B" check satisfies the requirements of a "A" check as well.. So how can an airplane ever need a "A" check AND a "B" check at the same time??  A "B" check would also take care of the "A" check if it has expired... right?? It seems that in the game, if you let a Aircraft sit a couple of weeks without flying it thinks it needs both a A and B check when just a B check would be all it needed....

No, the higher check includes all the lower ones. B includes A, and so forth.

No, the higher check includes all the lower ones. B includes A, and so forth... thanks for the clarification.. So when I have a plane that has not flown for say 2 weeks and it has auto checkmarks checked that it needs an "A" check AND a "B" check, can I just uncheck the "A" check and only perform the "B" since it also takes care of the A?

Even if you check both A and B it will know what to do, and performs only B.
