Marija Vuković, CEO of the new Balkan airline Vjetar officiated the startup's first flight, VJ001 to Budapest from Zagreb - Pleso International Airport. The ceremony was enthusiastically setup in conjunction with Zagreb airport's management and attended by the mayor of Zagreb, airport director, and even several prominent members of parliament. A water cannon salute was given to each departing flight.

Before passengers boarded, Vuković described her ambitions for Vjetar and outlined the airline's initial expansion plan. CFO Ane Petrić followed with a brief overview on expected financial return to investors. Vjetar is a publicly listed company on the Zagreb Stock Exchange under ticker symbol JUG.
