one of my routes from CHC-SYD with a dc6 has 1% Lf to and 70% from, and CHC-TBU has pretty much the same, same aircraft type any ideas why?

take off at 0400 in the morning. Against strong opposition, it's deadly. Ideally, you would take off - and land - between 0600 & 2255.

Every other flight that leaves at those times has an even lf thou. Just seemed strange

With so many slots available at CHC, you don't have to fly at 0400.  You should use 0600 departures before you use 0500 departures, and only use 0400 departure when desperate.
