Market share going down.....
« on: May 17, 2016, 08:49:17 PM »
Any ideas as to why my market share is lower than an airline with a lower CI  (his 33. mine around 80) offering the same number of seats (his is 48 HD seats, mine are 48Standard seats) fares mine is default price. My aircraft age is just a tad over 3 years.

One possible explanation could be a recent C check on your aircraft.

I thought that might be the case, but the C check was a month ago.

Plus there are also a couple of other routes with the same situation occurring.

So he's leading a price war against you. Which may not be a very good idea from him, depending on your relative strengths.

I have 50% market share against one specific opponent despite heavy prices(standard + 30%), and roughly the same market share against another specific opponent, but with muuuuuch lower prices(Standard- - 20%). Which means that the first opponent earns a lot of money(and me too on those lines), and the second one struggles to survive.(that's in GW3, but game mechanics are the same everywhere)
