Parakalo and Olympiakos, Greece's foremost airlines, have today agreed to work together under the auspices of the Aegean Airline Association (AAA) in order to assist all the passengers stranded by Merlins' collapse. Thousands of people are left stranded abroad, their travel plans to Greece in tatters. With this in mind, the AAA will (on a standby basis) honour all tickets TO Greece over the next 10 days in order to assist with the repatriation of passengers. Parakalo and Olympiakos can offer a huge range of flights and fares to and from Greece, so for those affected by the collapse wanting to travel FROM Greece we will offer 10% off our fares to anyone who is able to show that they had a booking on equivalent Merlin services. (This is of course in addition to any compensation offered by Merlins Administrators).
We will be working closely in the future to ensure that the beautiful country of Greece is served with world-class airlines that allow the travelling public to travel safely, on-time and with the peace of mind of a sound financial footing. Further announcements and initiatives will follow in the weeks to come.
Signed: CEO Parakalo and CEO Olympiakos.
