Dallas Express CEO Wil Davidson has announced a new link between the airline and the city's largest sports franchises. The agreement brings together Dallas/Fort Worth's biggest airline together with the Dallas Cowboys (NFL), Dallas Mavericks (NBA), Texas Rangers (MLB) and Dallas Stars (NHL). As part of the arrangement, the airline are investing in a nationwide advertisement campaign including major stars from each franchise. The panel at the press conference included CEO Davidson, Troy Aikman of the Cowboys, Shawn Bradley of the Mavericks, Ivan Rodriguez of the Rangers and Derian Hatcher of the Stars. Each of these stars, amongst others have been included in marketing material which is focussed during each team's regular season period. Dallas Express will also be providing trasportation for each of the teams away fixtures as part of the agreement.
In a seperate interview, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones noted that the key reason for the agreement is the flexibility provided by the arlines, as they currently serve more destinations than any other airline based in the city and with over 10,000 weekly flights its easy to plan in advance and is more cost effective than chartering flights with their previous airline.
