[-] Relationship between country affect demand?
CX717:
example:
NORMAL = 50,mean demand will not change
Hong Kong - China 80 (ummm...we're actually one country :P)
Hong Kong - Taiwan 85 (many taiwanese transit in HK to China,we have 70 flights daily to taipei (all wide body!) ::))
Hong Kong - Philippine 70 (many Philippine workers in HK)
Hong Kong - Japan 75 (HKer admire Japanese culture)
Hong Kong - Singapore 70 (Business relation)
Hong Kong - Thailand 75 ( Travel and Leisure)
Hong Kong - South Korea 65 (Travel,business)
USA-Cuba 0 (they hate each other I assume?? ;D)
etc.....
This rating will be count in the demand script, the rating will boost the demand,or bring it down.
I understand collecting this rating will be a very tough job anyway. :-\
sami:
Interesting idea - another thing would be seasonal destinations, like European summer holiday charters from north to south europe.
But all this requires very much manual collection of data which is a bad thing when we have 1500+ airports already in the game. And such data is very hard to find - unless you live in the area and know the things, otherwise wouldn't be that big of a problem.
CX717:
or this:
Leisure city +15 (like Bali,Honolulu,St.Martin,Guam,Gold Coast etc)
Financial centre +15(NewYork,London,Tokyo,Hong Kong,Shanghai,singapore etc)
Travel hot spot +15(Rome,Paris,Cario,Bangkok....etc)
Metropolitan + 10(city with population more than (say 4 millions))
more characteristic can be add.
We can add this to each airport by our common knowledge.
example
Hong Kong:
Financial centre
Travel hot spot
Metropolitan
So HK will have 40 points.
------------------------
Also the characteristic can affect First class/Business class demand.
Financial centre boost Business class,Leisure city boost First class. ;D
Unbornio:
Hong Kong - Thailand 75 ( Travel and Leisure) :D
CX717:
too high?? just an example ;D
