Strange Flight Cancellation

Hello fellow players!

I just noticed what I think is a strange flight cancellation.  Hoping for some expertise...

I'm flying a 707 from GMP with the following schedule:

DMK 1750-0610+1  daily
TPE  0735-1410  6x weekly

I just had my Thursday flight to DMK cancelled due to aircraft rotation.  The earlier flight from TPE was on schedule, meaning the aircraft should have had 3 hours on the ground at GMP.  Is this just a case of there always being a *slight* chance for this delay and just bad luck, or am I missing something?

Thanks!
Brad

Hello, what is the cancellation reason? System should tell it to u when you look the route information. Reason can be, Bad weather, Staff...

From 707 with 85 min t/a = Probability of delay due to too quick turn-around: 5.7%

707 needs 90 min turn around time to get <1% chance of delay....you have an 85 min t/a
Or it could have been weather, etc, etc
But basically just bad luck and it should even out over time.

The system says Aircraft Rotation (delay due short turnaround)

Again, it was the DMK flight that was cancelled, not the TPE with the 85 min TA time.  After 3 hours on the ground at my hub GMP my DMK flight was cancelled due to Aircraft Rotation.  And both outbound and inbound sectors were cancelled.

even at <1% t/a time it is still not 0%...so....basically just bad luck and it should even out over time

I usually double those minimum times. There is no allowance for head winds, fog delaying take-offs etc and baggage handling or just ground staff and technical issues from fuel bowser broke down to bus drivers didn't turn up today.  I'm sure the Sami Team have enough flying experience to have heard many more reasons to be delayed. Flying time makes a difference to how much I allow, high head winds add time per hour in flight.
