[-] Number of Route Pairs
« on: May 05, 2015, 11:45:35 PM »
Let's say I have a HQ, and start service to 1 single destination.  Then:

Number of airports served: 2
Number of route pairs: 1 <- reported by the system, incorrectly, IMO
Number of routes: 2 <- instead this value is shown for number of route pairs

Route pair is a A-B-A route combination.

So if I fly from A to B on a single route 7 days a week, I then serve 2 different airports, have 1 route pair and 2 unique routes. So the statistics page is correct in this sense .. or as what I've thought it to be.

I know it is just semantics, not really a big deal.  What you said is exactly how I interpret a "route pair", but that's not what a system is showing.

If AB is a route, and AB, BA is a route pair, then for an airline with a single base, serving N airports (including HQ) number of route pairs should be N-1.  The system shows (N-1) * 2.
