SHA (ZSSS) V.S. PVG (ZSPD)
« on: June 30, 2014, 09:00:39 PM »
In the gameworld, Shanghai Pudong (PVG, ZSPD) was planned ahead to be opened in a year, and I received notification that my original route to Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA, ZSSS) shall be changed to PVG, and SHA will be closed in 150 days.

However, to my understanding Shanghai Hongqiao has still actually been in used, so I doubt such closure would be inappropriate to the real world case.

Correct me with it's wrong plz...

Thanks a lot!

both airports will still be open..

the problem is that demand changes..

PVG will be intl demand and SHA will be domestic demand..
if you don't want to move bases... you'd better let sami know.

Looks like a small bug in the message is all.  The last part says it'll be closed but from the beginning it says that it'll be switched to a secondary airport and that the demand will shift.  Might need to change the wording of that last sentence.

I think this is just a standard template for these sort of closures of airports.

Usually airports close when another opens.. I believe a similar message gets sent out when Tokyo Narita opens if you are based in Tokyo Haneda. In most isntances though, the old airport does get closed and believe that it uses this message template...

perhaps sami needs to work on 2 templates... 1 for airports which will stay in existence and one for the airports which will close permanently.
