Free Money Bug
« on: March 15, 2014, 10:01:48 PM »
I got your attention, didn't I :)  There appears to be a bug where the taxman takes the new year off and let's you keep your own money.  See the attached screenshot from GW2.  The time period is the first few weeks of 2001 and the last few weeks of 2000.  The week is labelled Week 01 / 2001, but I'm guessing there were a few days of the calendar week that fell into 2000 and screwed things up?

It is Week 6 now and I have not received any messages on a tax calculation or any sort of entry on the income statement to reflect I received a refund.

Looking at your income sheet the 2000 taxes were correct to the last dollar, so it's just a matter of the missing overview message.

So my tax refund was exactly the same amount as my taxes due?  There should be an achievement for that somewhere...what are the odds?

No I mean that if you sum the loss from 1999 and income from 2000 and then get 30% of it and compare it to paid taxes from year 2000, it matches. Meaning that the end-of-year tax check has been made, just no message to your inbox of it.

Look at 2001 taxes YTD...there is still a big discrepancy there because the taxes were skipped in 2001--not 2000.

It appears that week 1 is simply not being allocated to the year appropriately.  See attached yearly view from income statement.  The two profit values vary by the week 1 numbers to the dollar ($612338).

This just happened again in GW2 for Week 1 of 2007.
