Pre-1987 Baghdad Airport
« on: February 04, 2014, 02:46:01 AM »
Hey there....

Just found out, that in the early GWs there is no Baghdad Airport. After some research, I found out, that Saddam International Airport didn't open till '87, and after a little research I found out that there was indeed an airport before that (see link below).

Was wondering if it could be implemented. I do know that it will be hard to find reliable data on this, but since we have airports in the US where even a flight to ATL would require a 5 seater a/c, we might as well have this. For simplicities sake, you could just use the current BGW airport's demands, downsized to the demand levels of the according era.

Just as a fun fact, there is also a Bagdad Airport in Arizona, USA ;D Lucky there weren't any dyslexic people working on Desert Storm :P

cheers,

I can personally say that the Baghdad, AZ airport is terrible. I can not attest to the one in Iraq though.
