[ok] MD-90 V2528-D5
« on: December 30, 2013, 02:50:58 AM »
The V2528-D5 is an optional (more powerful) engine for the MD-90 that you can add. It has been introduced at the same time with the V2525-D5 (first delivered in 1998, the 2525 in 1993, but they both were certified at the same time around 1992) ... I didn't find any proof, that they have been certified on the 90 at the same time, but it's likely...

now, what did they offer? ... of course, more thrust and because of that (but I'm not sure, that's a speculation) the problem of the 90 (she is not flying as high as 737 and 320) becomes a little bit smaller...

so, maybe you could lower the fuel consumption for this engine a little bit compared to the other... it's really hard to find info about that

I know... it's not precise and I don't have sources and proofs... so, you can do whatever you want with this info...

Well, for engines this sort of general info is enough, since we can only model introduction date, price, noise, range and fuel for each engine variant.

do you need the data now? or do you have it already?

next point -> the MD-88 was offered with extra fuel tank too (like the 83) ... and this is something that has to be a conversion-option in the next games too...

can't you create a thread in which you tell us, what options you will insert in the future, so that we don't have to ask again? ... I mean, it's ok if you don't have the time, but insert it in the future... but if everybody always asks for the same feature again and again... that's generating a lot of work for you... can't be the idea
