Taking aircraft out of service? Could I?
« on: October 08, 2013, 02:00:45 PM »
Hi, if i take a leased aircraft completely out of service, what costs other than the monthly lease cost will i have?

Will A, B, C, and D maintenance still be done?

Can i lease it on to another airline or do i have to buy the plane from the lessor to sell/lease it to someone else?

Sorry for all the stupid questions, just a new guy on the block/airline in the air.

Thanks in advance :)

Lease cost and insurance is all as far as I know.

Maintenance will be done if you want it to be done..If you keep the schedules so that it performs them and you choose automatic maintenance.  Otherwise the airplane will essentially be grounded for as long as they are not done, even if the plane isn't flying.

You need to be the owner of an aircraft to sell/lease it to someone else.

C and D checks will be done automatically if you set it as automatic in the setting section
