Which A343?
« on: September 24, 2012, 09:16:15 PM »
I cannot figure out if this a 343 or 343X - and how with either variant this capacity is possible.  I understand this could be the highest MTOW variant of the -X but with that distance and capacity and the runway restrictions of AEP...  I just want to make sure this is a real thing before I go nuts buying A343s.

Yeah even with the highest weight variant of the a343x that capacity and range is not possible with a runway of that size. Are you sure there is no tech stop?

From the screencap you can see there is no techstop.

Maybe display error on the AEP-HNL for no tech-stop shown? Swifty can fly the HNL-AEP route just fine, but he would need a tech-stop for the return leg...

Other then that... maybe he hax!!  :P

There's no tech stop.  I grabbed a 6 month lease on a 343X last night and am operating without any payload restrictions to AMS, CDG, YVR, FRA from AEP.  I don't think something is right here.

Be careful, those 6 month capped leases are often a ripoff! You get charged 30% higher than the original displayed price. And the seller can demand the plane back right after the 6 months (if he chooses to, so you lose the money you spend on seat config and any maintenance).

Regarding the runway issue, you may want to file this as a bug report, because it doesn't look right.

Oh, I am definitely getting ripped off.  But I had to know.  I did report it as a bug.

Correct, I shouldn't be able to fly this route.  I have 48% lfs on it too

I note the above comment that I made 24 hrs ago.  No intention to fly this route to deceive the system.  Lots of other destinations at this range for me to fly to.  Those planes (and 2 more) now fly to India.

I was missing something

I was accused of deliberately trying to scam the system by originally flying this route (while others were doing something similar)....  Sorry, my rep is all I got here.

HAHA...I must have missed all that, but I hope the person that pointed that at you is squeeky clean because I know for a fact you are.  You follow the terms of service to the word and encourage others to do so vocally....you have nothing to worry about.
