This topic is for us players who think it's right to pay handsome money to CEO if your airline is sucessfull. Other "Mother Theresa's" can stop reading....  ;D

My feature request goes like this: The CEO's salary should reflect the airline's financial results and perhaps also other indicators like increased CI, increased credit ratings, staff morale.... ( :-\) etc. In other words: CEO salary based on money earned and certain KPI's. This feature should be possible to toggle off/on in the settings to satisfy some of the other players mentioned above.

And think about it: You're the big boss in a company worth perhaps hundreds of millions of dollars and you are netting some 300-350K a year!

Nice idea : but we should also reward failure too : to properly reflect real life, when our airlines BK's we should get a nice fat pay-off too, to compensate us for the loss of salary, pension and benefits : after all, its not our fault if global events destroys profitability!

There are many different ways to arrange the bonus, but in order to avoid excessively high bonuses I was thinking a simple model: if the previous year's profit margin is over xx % (<- slider for player control) then pay the CEO xxx% extra bonus relative to their salary (again slider to modify that too).

So you could set that if profit margin was 40% CEO gets paid in January an amount of 300% of his monthly salary ..

Using the overall company profit figure (the dollar amount) as the basis is more difficult as it's hard to scale. And another nominator the stock price is missing still.

Aimed to be a simple and automatic system.

I wish there was an investment group behind the airline, or multiple airlines. They'd demand return on their investments when the airline is running well and gaining positive results. The game score should be tweaked so that you win if your investors are happy. This would also remove the problems with huge airlines having way too much money on their hands, and limits like commonality penalty and max airplanes would not be necessary.

That would be a great idea,but ordering many differents types,brings extra costs in real life too,so maybe this great idea can be expended to 4 or 5 types before getting a high commonality penalty.
This way can also phase in or out a new type more flexible.

But maxing out planes will be still same of use or slightly higher as otherwise the more experianced player or the prime based airliners will still gett the upperhand reached out.

Like for example you can have 5 types in your fleet before commonality licks in,but new orders limited to 4 types before commanality penalty hits.

One thing, to make the CEO wealth relevant - remove regional differences in pay (for the CEO only), so that every player can compete.

As is, only CEOs in the US, and rich Gulf countries can really compete.
