I knew this would happen shortly after my hedge expired. What do you think, lock in the current price to stop the bleeding or gamble on a drop?

ALL IN. You might lose in the short run, but you'll gain in the long run.

Well, I'm stuck paying 384 for the next year now. We'll see how it goes.

Ahem : well, reviewing the figures, adding the date, subtracting the phase of the moon and spinning my lucky hat thrice sun-wards ; I can confidently predict that Shotgun Airways will not be hedging in this financial quarter.

From the research I have done I think we will get our best prices From November 1998 to February 1999. I will be hedging in december 98.

Sorry, research based on what data? Since the fuel prices do NOT follow real-world history here.

Actually, based on my extensive research and multiple tests on guinea pigs, I found July 29th, 1999 at 8:42 to be the optimal time to hedge.

You guys are welcome.  :)

Sami, I am deeply upset to find that out.  :-\ I have no idea what to do now but loving the extra challenge. Do events like 9/11 happen on this game where demand will fall sharply?

Yes that one in particular is modelled, and some others like break up of the USSR. Demands change accordingly.

OK good, I like that. Thats the sole Reason I opened up in Europe, from things I have looked at it looks like it effected the North American market more heavily.

Is "SARS" modelled in? If so that would be a lenghty and painful event for the lads located in SE asia...

I remember being on a CX flight from HKG->LHR and we were probably no more then 20 pax on a 747!

I would also like to Join LilJet and announce that in the event of any possible future Icelandic Volcanic eruption that leads to flight cancellations that European United Air will NOT be providing hotels for our customers.

Thank you for flying with us! We appreciate your business and you as our customers!

Shotgun Airways is proud to announce that it will fully compensate all passengers booked on any of its flights who may suffer any inconvenience due to errant Icelandic volcanoes.

Any passenger so affected has to merely arrive, in person, at our modest but comfortable HQ in Port Moresby within 12hrs of the flight in question being cancelled and not only will we refund all their expenses, we will give them free tickets to see Miss Fifi L'Amour, noted entertainer, dancer and singer, live, in concert, at the world-famous Cafe des L'ananas!
