Airport Curfews
« on: July 24, 2012, 06:34:57 AM »
A quick question.
Hypothetically, your home airport has a curfew, and you have a plane scheduled to get home ~10 minutes before the curfew takes effect.
If your plane is more than 10 minutes behind schedule, does the flight get cancelled? Do you get fined for breaking the curfew?
Thank you.

Delays and cancellations are modelled just randomly in this game and are only counted on the departure side. There are no follow effects. So if your flight A-B is cancelled, B-A is taking place quite often, although that airplane shouldn´t have arrived at B.Delays are not piling up as in real life.

Actually, A-B being cancelled due to a problem does mean B-A is also cancelled. But that's the exception. If the day's schedule is A-B, B-A, A-C, C-A, and the plane breaks down at B, then B-A will be cancelled, A-C will depart normally. And if A-B isn't scheduled to be flown due to B-check maintenance, then B-A will still fly, assuming it's entirely outside B-check time.
