Before Guarulhos opened, all pax flying to Sao Paulo via Congonhas. The pax demand to Congonhas is average of 3600 daily. Now Guarulhos is opened and all pax transferred to this airport. But why the demand to Guarulhos is only at average of 2000 daily and Buenos Aires-Congonhas is zero?? Where the other 1600 people gone?

The demand reduction happens when new airports are built.  I dont understand it, but it happens in Houston, Tokyo, Dallas, ect

If you want Sami to recognize your problem, it belongs into the bug forum.

I dont think this is a bug.  Congonhas becomes a domestic only airport when the new international airport Guarulhos opens.  Just like in Buenos Aires you have a mainly domestic airport in Aeroparque and the international airport at Ezeiza.

So when Guarulhos opens there is only demand between Ezeiza to Guarulhos.

No, the question was why the overall number of passengers was cut in half.

Obviously, half of the passengers on this route would rather NOT FLY than fly out of the brand-new international airport.  8)

Because of the way demand is allocated, and GRU has a lower passengers percentage rating than CGH. thus lower demands on comparable routes. City based demand will solve this.
