I'm doing just fine. Bought myself another Tu-134 in the midst of the spike and for now it's going back down. I actually burn less fuel than most 727s.

Not in any way depreciating Soviet era a/c, but your comparison is not a good one as your T-134s only carry only half the pax as 727.... A better comparison would be a DC 9-10.  That itself is a thirsty a/c compared to, say a BAC 1-11, but still only burns 70% what a TU-134 does.
