Boeing 747-400's
« on: May 11, 2012, 06:17:51 AM »
Hi Guys,

I haven't played Dawn of the millenium for a while and just wondering if any seasoned players know when the Boeing 747-400's are in production?

Thanks

From what I know, the 744 is announced around late 1985, delivery around 1988-1989. I believe in AWS it could be anywhere +/- 12 or 18 months from those dates.

There is the 743 yet to be announced.  It should be announced around 1980, delivery sometime in 1983. The 743/2/1 are a different fleet type to the 744. The 743SR may even come before the "regular" 743.

I'd reccommend against 747s. The fuel burns are insane so you can only make them profitable with high LFs. This is a pretty crowded game world so I doubt that's happening haha

in DOTM? Yes, that or the A330/A340s. But you wont get those until the 90s, so 767s are the next best thing.

The B744 isn't that bad of a choice. We're not talking about MTs. If you can deploy it on routes where a tech stop is difficult, then it will be a cash cow.
