Slot fees?
« on: May 01, 2012, 05:48:22 PM »
Ok I'm confused; I started a second plane on an existing route. I was charged over 7 Million in Airport slot fees that I wasn't charged when I scheduled my first aircraft. Any ideas?

You are charged of the slot fees always when opening a new route.

(At small airports slots may costs nothing though)

Well I didn't think adding flights to an exsisiting route was the same as opening a new one, but the question then becomes, why wasnt I charged the 7 mil when I opened my first route?

Some slots are free.  I believe when you serve an airport for the first time (or something like that).

Also depends on the time of day. High demand times cost a hell of a lot more and the less slots avaliable at that time the higher premium that is charged. I believe. That is what i have noticed anyway.
