Frustration by starting a new Airline
« on: February 27, 2012, 10:43:44 AM »
So I stuck to your instruction manual how to play the USERS and how to start an airline.
I opted for an airline (Stock Air) flies to the Caribbean islands. For this I chose the Santiago airport Domingo in the Dominican Republic because he is good in the middle and could be a good hub.
But the first frustration came on even when I only got about $ 4 million, but you can buy only very small aircraft. Is also ok, I'm usually too small as an airline starts.
To my regret, are few planes that really are too low then. I buy a used aircraft (Pilatus PC-12). That was the price of doing pretty well. But only 9 spots was rather frustrating, because I wanted to buy an ATR.
Whatever. The flights to San Juan and Haiti, it does not simply money. Despite all the changes of money and personnel, etc.
So quite a frustration and I thought I might like to try the real game before I buy credits.
What I am saying is that just such a low start-up capital for some may represent a herrausvorderung there, but for testing I think it's just too little, there are steep prices to yes.
So, therefore, already slipped from a frustration instead of enjoyment.

So how can I increase income?
Is there a list or jog on which airport you can get more seed money?

Grateful for every answer  :-\

Please read the tutorial more carefully, since the startup capital is plenty if you LEASE an aircraft or two. Do not buy one straight from the beginning, makes things much more difficult. And start with at least ATR sized planes or larger.

$4million will allow you to lease at least 3-4 ATR from the used market. On routes with enough demand under 500nm you should make good money. With this knowledge good luck!

Thanks for your answers.
I didnt know, that buying a plane can be caused so a mess and trouble.
Well, now i got absolutly no money anymore.
So i try to sell my plane, that i can lease a new one.
But i guess i must wait ages, until someone buy or lease the plane.

Is there a oppertunity to restart the Demo-Game and try it again before the 7 days are over?
