is three fleet types too much?
« on: February 13, 2012, 08:14:22 PM »
Just as the title says, I am wondering about introducing a third fleet type but  I  wonder about the cost. I read about five fleet types being too much and a drain on the budget but what about three, is it already too much or it can be tolerated?
Thanks :)

3 fleet type is not too many in general, but for an airline with 5 aircraft total, I would say it is.

Depends on the number of a/c you're flying.

f you have more than 30 a/c, 3 types is ok... If you're flying less than 30, 3 types is definitely too many types in fleet.
I can tell you that I got up to 140 a/c once, with only 3 types and 2 engines group, and it was a real cash cow! :)
