There will be a few coming onto the market real soon, as a big Carrier is going to go B/K ... 183 planes in his fleet, many MD's amongst them (mostly MD82's but also other variants)
And another with 31 x MD's mostly 83' & 87's...likely to be close behind him.

Why worry with the 87's when they cost the same to fly as the bigger Super 80s but have 20% less revenue potential?

The only reason id see is there's nothing else avaialable....

I won't be touching the 87's that's for sure, 83's definantly.

Cheers

Looks like it just did

"JK airlines has been put into bankruptcy today by the airline CEO. All operations of this airline are ceased, all staff will be fired, and all assets and aircraft are returned to their owners or to creditors.

JK airlines operated from Geneva - Cointrin (LSGG / GVA) airport and had a fleet of 183 aircraft in operation at the time of the closure."

They do have a good bit of a longer range than the others though.

That few seats flying further than 2000nm is a ticket to bankruptcy, so the extra range is rather moot
