Oh come on, that's not fair. Their punctuality has improved bigtime in the past few years. I travel a lot (enough to make a MobilityBahnCard 100 pay off) and I can count the times my train has run late in the past year on a single hand (that includes winter).

Obviously you travel through the S-Bahn system of Munich which is underground LOL...

Haven't used a train since February (since I got my car ;D :P ) but before that, traveled every 2 weeks to my dad and back, and he already came to the station 10 mins later than planned, because the train was ALWAYS 10 mins late at the arrival place. For the years 2005-2011, I had maybe three positive exceptions, and a good dozen of negative ones (20mn +).... same for the return trip...

So, I stick to what I said :P

Well true, the trains sometimes come in late, but most trains have bumper windows now with longer standing times in the stations that just get reduced to eliminate delay, which works pretty well.

What IS indeed worrying is the behaviour of DBs employees when there is some kind of suicide or other accident. They just go heads over heels and don't know what to do. There seems to be absolutely no fixed workflow for those cases. There would be if DB had accepted my consulting offer, but I guess Burson Marstellers name was bigger than my firms ability.

You think +20 minutes is BAD? Maybe we do have extremely efficient airports up here in Finland, but our railroads.. Over two hour delays aren't rare at all.

I'm switching jobs in January within the same company.

Going to become a Procurement Manager.
basically I'll be buying stuff that my company requires.
It means a lot of intl travel all over the world and means I may hopefully have a chance to meet a few AWSer's out there :-)

Do you have EPR or N1? How about, do you ever use ELAC, FGAT, or TRK/FPA?

N1 as in N1 thrust control? EPR as in Engine Pressure Variation? Yes I do have them. And I yes, I do use ELAC. On LH routes I use TRK/FPA but on SH it is basically pointless because TRK/FPA keeps your plane on the FPT (Flight Plan Track) and on shorthaul you really just climb, cruise, descend line up for ILS and by following the FP it would be time consuming. :)

We also do use ELAC because it is built in with our aircraft as we have an all airbus fleet.

I never said anything about FGAT and there is TRK/FPA it keeps your plane on the exact Flightplan you have programmed. Any more questions? :-\

(but even the edit does not hide the fact that your reply's "facts" have nothing to do with real Airbus operations.. I know btw.

For example, you do not have both epr and n1 on the same plane, which of course you did not know, but claimed to "have" both. Or your ridiculous explanation on trk/fpa, or how you "use" elac.. Hahah!)

Seriously though any more questions to verify I am a pilot. Its kind of annoying that the lead developer who made this amazing game doesnt believe anything I say. And BTW everything you said there apart from FGAT is used in Airbus's day to day and other planes aswell.

You do use/have ELAC because it prevents the plane from pitching too high
