When I entered in this game (JA #5) I was wondering start from MXP, but for my surprise, the airport wasn't in the game.

My question is... MXP was forgotten? :(

Jet age is so many years in the past that MXP probably wasn't even in blueprints.

Nope, before asking, I gave a look at history.

Construction in 1948.
In 1965 MXP had the longest runway in Europe, with 3.915 meters.

It opened in 1998 there is a thread in bug reports. Before that Linate was the prime airport.

There are pictures on Airliners.net that date as far back as 1972....It opened way before 1998.

Perhaps Linate was the primary airport, but Malpensa was the only option for inter-continental service...

The airfield was build ages ago. The Terminal 1 was finished in 1998 and the Terminal 2 some years later.

The existence of the airport is not important, nor terminals. The requisite is when there were scheduled passenger flights.

No worries. If you find that passenger flights started earlier then please comment in the bug reports posts... but I did my research pretty hard  8)
