Longest route
« on: November 25, 2011, 09:56:53 AM »
Just wondering how long routes our fellow airlines have ;)

The longest route of my airline (Riyadh Airways) is

OERK-PHNL via UHMM
7675nm
on an A340-600

our longest non-stop flight is

OERK-KLAX
7176nm
on an A340-600

Let's hear about all those ULH flights!

Regards,
Dutch

I think you might win the cake. How long is that in time?

WOW :o how did you get that profitable! Great job!

Distance/Velocity=Time
10093nm/470kts=21hrs

Of course not taking into account wind, stop overs, etc.  ;)

Rgds,

Winds alone could change the flight time by at least 3+ hours depending on the direction of flight. I'm impressed mainly though that it is hugely profitable for an ULH.

Looked at that 10000+ route again and it may be noted that this route is not operated in MT5 but in the Beginner's World 15, where things might be a little easier. :P

Hehe Sorry, just now I saw that this topic is about MT5.
I never get such profit with fuel prices at $ 1000.

My longest nonstop:

Seoul Incheon-Bogota
8022NM
A380
Profit: It average around $400,000
-Believe it or not I have a competitor on this route flying a 7478i, so my profits are much lower.

My second longest route is way more profitable:

Seoul-Grantley Adams
7750NM
Profit: $623,450

I ran several 10,000 nm + routes from Auckland (New Zealand) to Europe in DOTM2 using the 767 ER and I ran good profits on them all after they were established. Was an interesting airport to run from as domestic and medium haul growth is reasonably limited and I ended up running 70 or so 767 ERs (out of a total of 100ish planes) to Asia / North America and Europe. Competition on a lot of these route was limited as a lot only had enough demand for 1 plane a day, hence competitors didn't bother.
