Fuel not above $1000 yet?!
« on: September 24, 2011, 01:57:19 PM »
Sami, will fuel EVER get above $1000 in this scenario? Its been dangerously close a few times yet hasn't ever climbed into 4 figures.
Has fuel been set to never go above $1000?

please, please, please may fuel spike. I really want to see some of these "widebody" operators die off through their own stupidity  ;)

LOL I'm sure it will suddenly spike from 700 straight to 1100 in a 2week span...but now is a good time to prepare for such a spike by have a couple billion in the reserve..

I would love to stay in the sidelines and keep quiet, but seriously who are you to ask for a fuel spike? You're not the game developer so just zip it and enjoy the game.

If he were the game developer he wouldn't ask for anything, would just do it. So he has right to ask for just anything just as any other player. Who are you to deny him the right to ask?

In fact this game has some traditions, a fuel spike is one of them, and in MT5 the fuel has been very cheap for too long compared to previous games. Actually there are no bankruptcies unless somebody leaves the game, and this is not good. Since it's not the Beginners World it makes the game way too easy.

The good thing to take away from this is that it IS different than past MT worlds... Where fuel is unpredictable, but you should still plan ahead for it as it can happen at anytime.

(I just hope it delays for 6more months until I get rid of my remaining A300s, esp after getting flooded by Ejets by a certain airline)

Fuel price spikes add to the challenge.  And not just fuel price spikes, it is the general pricing level.  At this time in previous games, the "normal" fuel price was in $800-$100 range.

I agree the fuel price in this game world is quite low compared with MT4, so easy to make money indeed. ;)

Actually, good money is payed to play this game, so if someone doesn't think something's right then they have every right to complain :D I have to agree that fuel prices seem to have been extremely low in MT5, although admittedly there is lots of time left in the game for things to change.

the fact that were a decade into a MT scenario and fuel is yet to go above $1000.

I think you don't know how to operate big aircraft properly so you will say they will kill an airline ;D
Why don't you try to use them? ::)

In ATB I had 45 odd 777 family aircraft and before that 35 off A330/40 and 21 A380s
As much as I liked them (especially the a380s) I didnt feel comfortable using them in an area i wasnt familiar with (first time based in Mexico and geographically VERY different to where i played previously), however had to my time again i would seriously consider it.
