787 changed or not?
« on: July 21, 2011, 10:04:59 PM »
Hi

Just a quick one...can anyone confirm if the 787 has been improved for this game world from the previous MT game? From what i remember it didnt make any sense to operate it as the seating and range of the aircraft was not quite right and the fuel burn was also a factor from memory.

Any one (Sami ;)) confirm this?

Cheers

Think I remember Sami replying to a similar thread that range and fuel burn were adjusted but passenger capacity hadn't.

787-8 just launched.  While I don't have the numbers written down anywhere, I do believe the size has increased, quite a bit.  Looks like a much more interesting aircraft now.

It did. In previous worlds the 788 could be configured to 260 seats at the current config. It had more range though, but nothing to be let down about it as 6900nm is more than enough if you want to make money.

Let's just say that it is not far worse than 767 (as it was prior to 1.3), actually, slightly better...

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/airports/acaps/787brochure.pdf

Says 787-8 should have 242 pax (16/44/182)

Sadly not possible to do in this game (I tried).

It isn't far off....

seems a better choice to replace my 767's next decade than what it was in MT4

cheers

1.3:
Capacity     Maximum 375  (max certified)   ...Regular seating is somewhere around 250 I guess (that is computerized so cannot see it)
Crew    Pilots: 2, Cabin crew: 6    (cabin crew seems to be incorrect still if using max seating; but that goes under 'fluid cabin crew' feature rq)
Range approx 7200 nm, FF about 4600kgh

Edit.. Nevermind; the plane is visible already in the aircraft section!
