Recommended A/c for when fuel prices become insane
« on: July 12, 2011, 01:00:53 AM »
Hey,

I think I mentioned this before , but I wanna know what a/c you guys think are the best for when fuel becomes insane later in the game.

I have a couple of ideas of some a/c... but I wanna know what personal favorites everybody has.

ATR / Bombardier Q400 / Bombardier CS
737NG / A320 (most of the models are good, in both series)
753 / 764 / A333
773 / A350 / A380

I assume the jets are in HD config ;D

And why the CS series?

I'd take the A340-300E over the A340-600 anyday. Longer range, lower fuel consumption and lower lease costs with engine commonality with the A320s and 737s is an upside. Though the -300E carries 30 Y pax less that the -600, the reduced income is well and truly offset by the above mentioned factors.

My favourite A340!

in the 2014+, CS300 and A380 are the most fuel efficient jet (fuel burn divided by number of pax) (A380 is more efficient than CS300 a bit), provided that all are in HD setting. But in reality (or in the game world), it's very difficult to assign a HD A380!!! So besides A380, CS300 is the most efficient jet. It really makes the difference (e.g. CS300 vs A319) if the fuel price is about USD 1300 or 1400 (in MT#4).

In those days (fuel USD 1400), my CS300 can still make a profit about 600k per week! (I fly 3 domestic routes per day).

However, in the early 2000s, you can only use A320/A321 if possible, B739/B739ER for the most efficient jet.

Alright I'm Planning for the CS300's in 2014. A321's and A320'S now... And how far are those routes?
