Downgrading from Large to Medium A/C...
« on: March 16, 2011, 11:51:50 AM »
Just a quick one

Some day i will have to renew my old 737 classics and was looking at some medium size A/C

What happens to the pilots of the large A/C, do i have to sack them or do they simply move over to the medium A/C as they would in real world.

Cheers

You have to sack them and suffer the CI hit.

Thought so...seems a bit daft really, as when an airline renews its fleet or brings in new types pilots simply move on to it once training complete.

Maybe something that could be brought into the new version?

Cheers

Try to sack them one by one and wait some time between sackings. It's what I do now, used to sack them all at once but this way it's easier to recover from the hit.  :)

It would be nice to have a 'retrain flight crews' feature that would still cost a substantial amount to use, but would avoid the huge CI hit you're currently forced to absorb.

No plans as of last August :(

This would come at the same time when staff systems are revised a bit more, at some point. No further guesses so far.
