roughly 250-300nm for a turboprop and flights under 2 hours for jets.

Almost always, yes.  You may get away with a little more with a Dash 8 Q400 or a little less in a Cessna.

You could more than likely get away with HD seating and make more money.  You'd get quite a few more seats and the impact to the LF should, at that distance, be fairly small.  So more seats sold per flights == more money.

just dont lose the frequency war.  Another person may be flying ATRs/Dash8s against you.  If you go 100% demand with 10 A320s and your opponent goes 100% demand with 40 ATRS, he will get ~75-80% of the total number of pax.

So should I do HD or Standard? What will make more money??

of course HD will make more money.

I am just warning you that this can easily be combated by someone who flies HD turboprops that short of a range.   They will easily win the frequency war.  So, only do this type of seating on these routes with that type of plane ONLY when you have no competition.   Sorry for that tough sentence.

fine, but the game is very early right now.  If I were competing against you, I would easily target this route with turboprops.  I would eventually steal so many pax that you'd be forced to close these routes.

HIGH DENSITY ALL THE WAY!!! I cannot stress this enough.

You make so much more money. I suggest even using high density on routes up to 1500NM.

The trick is.....When you config the aircraft make sure it says "FAIR" under high density seating and not "POOR". If it says fair, you are fine.

Didn't work for me...I tried it and left it over night and my LF for that route has DROPED big time.....

don't do it right away, wait for your CI and RI to increase first. then you can test it.
