B757-the best?
« on: February 04, 2011, 08:04:21 PM »
On my opinion,752 is very good aircraft-it has good range, capacity and affordable price-for medium-range routes it is the best choice!!!I`m going to lease one and use it on routes up to 3000nm.It appears to be much better than other aircraft on such routes, what do think???? ???

Very bad compared to many other planes on shorter routes.

For AWS, the 752/753 are good for trans atlantic flights.   The turn time on this plane is far higher than the 737.  In fact, turn times are almost double.

So, again, good for flights that require you to use the full range of the aircraft.  Bad if you plan on using it for shorter routes.

It is a very good aircraft!

The 757-200 cost less than the 737-900ER , has more passengers, longer range. Its great for transcon flights and trans atlantic.

The 757-300 is also very good, It cost about the same price as A321-200. However, it has more passengers, longer range, lower lease fee.

They are great for longer flights, but not short hops due to turn around times.

But the Cost vs Passenger is GREAT!

I have more than 200 of 757-200/300 in my fleet.
Found them to be most effective on
a) 3000-3800nm routes where I have a one flight a day and you fly the plane almost 24h
b) combination of ~2000nm route and a short ~500 nm route, where you fly the long route overnight.
For short haul 737NG is a much better choice, also had a great experience with AN148/158, have 15 of them and some are making $500-600k of profit per week, better than some of my A380 or B777s

Yes I am fond of the 757's, especially the -300 model.
