Hello folks !

So this is it ! The oil price has exceeded 1000 $ (1004 as of 29/03/2014)

This makes me wonder : what would happen IRL if such an event would happen ?

Such a sharp rise in such a small period of time from today. What do you see as our future in our case ?

THis is just for debate, open-minded !

Enjoy your game !

This actually did happen in the past few years (2007-9).

Hello

Well... in Sept 07, the price of a barrel crossed the 80$ per barrel... not 1000...

I probably misread the way the game works, but I thought that your price of oil was per barrel (and unfortunately, I'm afraid that this might be realistic since oil is becoming harder to supply, so price is increasing IRL).

Thx for letting me know anyway :-)

The fuel in AWS is calculate per 1000kg. So the price you see is for 1000kg, which is about 1250l = 7.8 barrels, if I'm not mistaken...

Its the price of jet fuel, not crude oil.
While they tend to be proportionate, jet fuel is generally more expensive.

Yes, and during 2008 oil hit $144, based on 7.8 barrels/1000kg AWS price would be $1120~

Not counting the Jet-Fuel upcharge

ok !

That makes sense ! I really thought that it was a per barrel price, and was like "WOW ! This would incredibly change the business model of airlines !"

Thx for aall your answers !

Have a nice game
