I guess Powi made the whole thing clear. Even with 20 years old steel you will still get some pax, at least 1.

 yes powi you may be right,pass numbers up a little now but still loseing money hand over fist... my herons and dove are 8 years old so not ancient by any means.
 i think my airline is on that slippery slope >:(

8 years old should not cause any trouble. I think it's the operating cost that haunting your company. Check your staff salary, ground handling and fleet commonality.

            I HAVE 2 HERONS AND 1 DOVE WHICH ARE THE SAME PLANE BASICALLY, I ALSO HAVE A CONVAIR 440 WHICH IS MOST PROFITABLE. I HAVE LOWERED ALL OTHER COSTS AS MUCH AS I DARE BUT STILL LOSEING MONEY...!! I THINK IT COULD BE THE MAINT ON THE 44O THAT IS MY MAIN TROUBLE.  :-\

the dove and the heron in AWS are not the same. They are in separate fleet groups so they are in essence different fleet types.
That means that right now you have 3 fleet types
