While we're talking about future prototypes we could put in the Chinese A320 aka the "Comac C919".

With Sami's update of the engine system for v1.3, this could be a nice (and hopefully easily to implement) aircraft to have in the Modern Times world.

I was quite amused to see that the larger winglets are now referred to 'sharklets'  - http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2010/11/30/350349/airbus-set-to-launch-a320-neo.html
I missed that at the time.

This should clarify what a sharklet is to everyone who doesn't know what they are.

Yeah I love the way people go on about these sharklets as if Airbus have re-invented the wing when really all they are doing is adding blended winglets (which have been in use for about a decade) and simply gave it a new name.

Good PR stunt I guess.

I don't think the A320NEO will sell well on AWS because it is about $8-10m more expensive for a fuel burn reduction that takes a long time of the life to make savings from the original cost. People will just still go for the A320 with cheaper lease prices even if the fuel burn is somewhat more.

Also a pity IAE didn't offer a new engine in time for the project. Looks like it's between CFM Leap-X and P&W GTF.

Nobody knows what going to happen by that time. In 2016, fuel price will remain the major concern for every airlines in the game.

Would have been nice to have a learned answer.

Whether we decide to buy it in the game is an other thing. Quite frankly I would, as the 15% improvement on fuel consumption and 20% engine maintainance would affect my bottom line with fuel in 1000$/T

Well if you find a reliable and accurate source with all the necessary data (I imagine a lot can be lifted from the A320) then you might wish to submit it into this thread.

That is assuming the game is not in the pipelines already. I'm sure if sami had the data there would be no problem including it in a later version of the game engine.

Thanks, no idea about this thread. I will see what technical data I can muster and pass it on.
