New Aircraft Orders - Couple of questions.

On the new aircraft order confirmation page it says that your aircraft orders can be brought forwatd if production increases or there are cancellations. Does this ever happen ? I have a handul of A321s on order due in 2010-2011. There have been several cancellations since (available slots showing in 2008 and 2009) but the order has not moved forward ?

It also says on the confirmation page that, when you get a new a/c on operational lease, you pay 1 month lease as a delivery fee. I just got a new a/c on lease and this did not appear to happen !

For the first, yes, it happens. My first 737 was pushed 2 months ahead of planned, thanks to cancellations.

The delivery fee is paid when you order your aircaft not at the delivery  :D

You pay 5 months worth of leases to secure the production slot and lease of the aircraft in advance and then you do pay another months worth of lease upon delivery.

To quote the game in the new aircraft lease order confirmation page:-

Quote
Terms & Info: The sums above are counted to reflect the status when all aircraft from this order have been delivered. For operational leases you must pre-pay the first 5 months of the leasing contract in advance, and also pay 1 month's lease as a delivery fee.

These expenses will come under aircraft leases in the income statement.
