Any opinions on how best to utilise this a/c and will it produce reasonable profits?

before i restarted the game for myself i was planing the same thing. I was going to configure some with some high density econ seats and some standard economy. I was figuring my load factors would t change to much. I think i would try to keep them from flying more than 500 miles to maximize profits.

I'm utilising 1 EMB195 at the moment with a further 7 on order.  I'm using it on a regional flight of approx 700NM and its an extremely profitable aircraft in a 2 tier configuration.  Although I only have the one operating just now, its making a small profit after taking in to account its engineering and training costs each month ;).

Are you paying for its lease or is it still within those first 4 months?

Great aircraft, almost an easy mode IMO if utilised correctly. Such low fuel consumption, cruises faster than 737/A320 (+looks nice).

My advice, fill up with high density seating, knock a few minutes off the turn time and restrict its use to routes <600nm and you should make a killing with it.

4 sectors is ideal to make the most money if you can schedule rightly and have freedom of slots. (EDIT: On short <400nm routes you should easily be able to squeeze out 5x daily).

Good luck.

I'm flying 3 sectors per day on a route of approx 700NM with a few C class seats and its making good profit - its not even a full load factor on that aircraft (far from it  ;):)

Put it this way- you have to be stupid if you can get the E195 to run at a loss.
Even at its maximum sector length, with 2 flights a day, i still make money on it. Sure its not a killing; but its still good  8)

I wouldn't say the same of the E170/ E175, I find them hard to make money on unless the utilisation is very high :/

The E175 is better on short hops upto about 500NM I have a couple of them operating too, and they're doing as good as my Q400's for profit  ;)

Exactly; they're fine with very high utilisation :)

Watch out when fuel creeps up though; back in ATB when fuel was around 1300, I struggled with my leased aircraft until i bought them out. Then again, I was running them at close to max range  ::)
