swiftus, don't you think you're being a bit harsh on the poor guy here?  IIRC there's no way to see all airlines in the game before you create your airline, or to see the alliances, so how was he supposed to know?  What's he supposed to do, check every airport on two continents to make sure no one has the same name?

Also, he can easily know what alliances are in game by looking at the thread for the Alliance Challenge.  The observer thread shows this.

I hadn't thought of the observer thread actually.

I do agree it is irritating when someone starts up an airline with a very similar name to an existing airline though.

I have seen redstars and other stars before, but it certainly is a little strange to see someone do that in this game... considering the Star Alliance has gone with *blank* star airlines.


Now, I would get suspiscous if we start seeing Linoleumstars and Platinumstars.
